Submitting your work
Before submitting, read at least one full issue to understand the magazine's aesthetic range. Élan values work that feels necessary—writing that could not exist in any other form. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify immediately if your work is placed elsewhere. Include a brief cover letter that speaks to your connection to the work, not just your publication history. We welcome translations, but the translator must secure rights. Response times vary from two to six months; please query only after six months. We do not charge submission fees for general submissions, though we offer a expedited option for a small fee to support the magazine.
Our mission is to publish original work from teen writers around the globe. That being said, we are looking for stylistically and thematically unique pieces of art and writing with distinctive flair, enthusiasm, and unapologetic truth. Please check the website’s submission guidelines for the most up-to-date information.
