Editorial focus
Literary Heist gives a voice to transformative writers and aims to democratize the literary and art world. The editors are looking to showcase good work that comes from new and existing writers and artists.
Submitting your work
Read several recent issues before submitting to understand the editors' preferences for tension, concision, and narrative or lyrical surprise. Avoid work that relies on familiar confessional modes or generic experimentalism. Follow the submission guidelines precisely—simultaneous submissions are typically accepted, but notify promptly upon acceptance elsewhere. Cover letters should be brief and factual; the writing itself is the primary criterion.
If you are writing a story, please include character voices (characters who are speaking to each other). If you want to submit multiple poems, please send them in as seperate submissions.
