Editorial focus
The Litt le Journal of Northeast India is interested in the everyday stories of people, places, and things based on or inspired from Northeast India. Their published poems, flash fiction, photographs, artwork, interviews, and essays explore and celebrate the underrepresented yet rich and diverse region of Northeast India. The editors are looking for pieces that stick with people long after they have first read or witnessed it.
Submitting your work
Writers and artists from Northeast India and its diaspora are encouraged to submit. The journal seeks work that engages with the region's complexities—its landscapes, identities, and socio-political contexts—without resorting to stereotypes. Familiarize yourself with past issues to understand the journal's aesthetic and thematic range. Simultaneous submissions are typically accepted, but notify promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Follow the submission guidelines on the website for formatting and deadlines.
When selecting a piece for publication, we are not looking for the contributor’s publishing history. We are more interested in what you have to say. If you have any pieces that fit the requirements above, send your submission to [email protected] .
