About the magazine

Main Street Arts is a nonprofit contemporary art center located in Clifton Springs, New York, founded in 2013 within a restored 19th-century building. Its mission is to support artists at all stages of their careers through exhibitions, residencies, workshops, and community programming, with a particular emphasis on process and experimentation. The center provides a platform for both regional and national artists, fostering a dialogue between local audiences and broader contemporary art discourse.

Artists should approach Main Street Arts with a clear sense of how their work aligns with the center's emphasis on process and community. For workshop proposals, outline learning objectives, materials, and how the workshop engages participants. For exhibitions, follow guidelines closely and submit a cohesive body of work with a thoughtful artist statement. Demonstrating a connection to the region or a willingness to engage with the local community can strengthen proposals. Maintain professionalism and adhere to deadlines.
