About the magazine
Quibble Lit is an independent literary journal founded with the conviction that poetry thrives in the margins—where hesitation, wit, and the unassuming voice are given room to breathe. Its annual volume, such as the forthcoming 'POETRY: HUMBLE — Volume IX,' reflects a sustained commitment to work that resists grandiosity in favor of precision, vulnerability, and a quiet, persistent inquiry into the everyday. The journal operates as a small, editor-driven project, prioritizing careful reading and a curatorial eye over broad thematic mandates.
Submitting your work
Reading periodCloses in 5 days
Read at least one full issue before submitting. The editors favor poems that demonstrate restraint, sonic awareness, and a willingness to be small without being slight. Avoid rhetorical flourish or overtly topical gestures; instead, trust the quiet turn. Submit only during announced reading windows, and include a brief, unadorned cover letter. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable if promptly withdrawn upon acceptance elsewhere.
