Editorial focus
Revolute is a digital literary magazine founded in 2019 by the Randolph College MFA program. Revolute is committed to publishing the most engaging writing possible and is further committed to publishing emerging writers from underrepresented groups. Operated by Randolph College MFA students and staff, Revolute is a home for creative work where students contribute to every part of the publication process: reading, selection, editing, marketing, and publishing. Revolute also accepts micro reviews.
Submitting your work
Before submitting, familiarize yourself with Revolute's published work to understand its aesthetic and intellectual preoccupations. They favor writing that demonstrates a clear engagement with form and ideas, so avoid generic or overly polished pieces that lack a distinctive voice. Follow their submission guidelines precisely, including formatting and length requirements, and include a brief cover letter that contextualizes your work without over-explaining. Simultaneous submissions are typically accepted, but notify them promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Response times may vary, so patience is advised.
