Submitting your work
Artists should approach Showcase with a clear understanding of its digital-first, thematic format. Review past quarterly themes and selected artists on the Substack archive to gauge the curatorial tone, which tends to favor conceptually driven work that translates well to screen-based viewing. Submissions should include a concise artist statement, a cohesive body of work (typically 5–10 images or a short video), and a brief bio. Given the online nature, ensure images are well-lit, high-resolution, and accompanied by detailed captions. The prize is open to international artists at any career stage, but emerging artists and those without gallery representation are particularly encouraged. There is usually a modest entry fee, so check the current call for exact deadlines and requirements. Response times can vary, so plan to submit well before the deadline and follow the platform's social media for updates.
