While we look for writing that engages place in a physical sense, our geographic sense of “taking us somewhere” crosses emotional boundaries too. Pieces that expand our understandings of culture, people, and the non-human world occupy a great deal of our pages. We pay our writers who are both new and experienced: $30 per poem or artwork and $10 per page of prose up to $150.
