Artists and writers interested in contributing should first familiarize themselves with the organization's focus on the Great Smoky Mountains' natural and cultural history. Proposals for books, educational materials, or interpretive programs should align with this mission and demonstrate rigorous research or creative engagement with the region. Unsolicited manuscripts are accepted, but it is advisable to query first with a concise project summary and credentials. The review process prioritizes accuracy, educational value, and relevance to the park's interpretive goals.
