Editorial focus
Trafika Europe showcases current fiction and poetry in English and English translation from across the Council of Europe countries, with its online quarterly digest, and Trafika Europe Radio—Europe’s literary radio station, free online! The hope is to make a meeting point for cultures, provide a forum for showcasing what is exciting in emerging voices across the continent, and explore issues toward a greater sense of belonging and, ultimately, a more shared identity through European literature.
Submitting your work
Writers and translators should submit previously unpublished work in English translation, accompanied by the original text if applicable. Trafika Europe favors submissions that demonstrate a strong sense of place, innovative form, or cultural specificity. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but please notify promptly if your work is accepted elsewhere. Include a brief bio and a note on the source language and translator. Response times vary; query after three months if you have not heard back.
If you are an author from a Council of Europe country, or translating work from there, we’d love to hear from you. Please consult our submission guidelines for full details before submitting. We are also happy to consider guests for Trafika Europe Radio!
