The Tusculum Review seek well-crafted writing that takes risks. The journal publishes work in and between all genres: poetry, fiction, essays, and plays. The editors appreciate work in experimental and traditional modes. The Tusculum Review ’s annual chapbook contest rotates through fiction, poetry, and nonfiction on a three-year cycle. Submissions to the 2027 Nonfiction Chapbook Prize will open September 2026 and close June 15, 2027.
