About the magazine

Vision Maker Media, founded in 1976 as Native American Public Broadcasting Consortium, is the longest-standing organization dedicated to Native American and Alaska Native media. Its mission is to empower Native peoples to tell their own stories through film, television, and digital media, ensuring authentic representation and cultural sovereignty. By providing funding, training, and distribution, Vision Maker Media has been instrumental in bringing Native voices to national audiences via PBS and beyond.
