About the magazine

Wildflower Post is an online literary and arts journal founded in 2020 with the conviction that creative work thrives in the margins. Operating without a physical office, it publishes quarterly issues that gather poetry, short fiction, and visual art from emerging and underrecognized voices. The journal’s ethos is one of deliberate care: each piece is selected not for its polish alone, but for its capacity to unsettle, linger, and speak from the periphery. By maintaining a modest, editor-led structure, Wildflower Post resists the pressures of scale and trend, instead fostering a readership that values attentiveness over volume.

Editorial focus

Wildflower Post is a bimonthly newsletter that features works exclusively from writers aged eighteen and under. It aims to spotlight and celebrate youth perspectives: brave, radical, honest voices that speak without and despite fear of being silenced. The newsletter is published on the 1st and 15th of each month.

Reading feeNo

Simultaneous submissionsYes
Unsolicited submissionsYes

Before submitting, read at least one full issue to understand the journal’s range and tone. Wildflower Post favors work that feels necessary rather than merely competent; avoid sending pieces that rely on irony or shock without substance. Simultaneous submissions are accepted, but notify promptly if your work is placed elsewhere. Include a brief, unadorned bio and a cover letter that speaks to your practice, not your credentials. Response times vary, but queries after three months are reasonable. Most importantly, trust that the editors read closely—your work will be considered on its own terms.

Wildflower Post believes that the words of young people are among the most candid reflections of our world as it is now and as it will be. We are seeking fresh voices and authentic perspectives. When in doubt, send it in!
