House of Arcanum positions itself as a literary magazine with a focus on fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. While the name suggests an interest in the esoteric or arcane, the publication's specific curatorial vision is not detailed in the provided information. The magazine appears to provide a platform for writers working in traditional literary forms, though the absence of guidelines or a description excerpt leaves the aesthetic direction open to interpretation. As a literary magazine, House of Arcanum likely offers contributors publication credit and placement within a curated collection of writing. The scope of the magazine—whether print or digital, emerging or established—is not specified. Writers should note that the submission deadline is February 1, 2027, and that no fee information is currently available. The lack of a prize or location suggests that this is a standard literary submission call rather than a contest or residency. Given the limited details, writers are encouraged to research the magazine's previous issues or website to understand its editorial preferences. The name 'House of Arcanum' may imply a taste for the mysterious, the speculative, or the deeply human, but without explicit guidelines, the safest approach is to submit work that demonstrates literary merit and originality within the stated genres.
