Inframince Journal: Poetry

Overview
THEME: FRAGMENTATION
We might think of fragmentation as the breaking apart of things. Something is whole, until it shatters or disintegrates. And a sense of disjointedness now permeates the space. Narratives become unstable, porous, and difficult to contain. When something is fragmented, everything becomes spontaneous and mutable, parts now move asynchronously.
For our founding issue, we desire work that pluralizes what fragmentation may mean. If it’s fissure, what is split in between and how do we see what’s in the middle? If it’s an oblique transformation of a thing, what has it concealed in its obscurity and has now revealed? We’re seeking for writing that speaks about these fractal parts and understand that it gestures elsewhere and everywhere. When we fragment, we breach the edges. Tell us all about it in your submissions.
