Solstice: A Magazine of Diverse Voices — Graphic Lit

Overview
Solstice: A Magazine of Diverse Voices is currently open for general submissions in all categories, including its Graphic Lit section. The magazine has established a new category for comics, signaling a commitment to expanding the literary and visual conversation. As with all contributors, the editors prioritize fresh voices and diverse perspectives, creating a space where personal stories, creative fiction, comic poetry, and comic essays can intersect. Graphic Lit at Solstice is defined by its openness to formal experimentation. The editors welcome work that pushes boundaries, provided it contains multiple panels and can be displayed within the magazine's website framework. Single-image pieces are not considered. Submissions may range from 1 to 6 pages (preferred), with a maximum of 8 to 10 pages, in JPG or PDF format. Only unpublished work is accepted unless solicited; upon publication, rights revert to the creator, with Solstice holding first and one-time rights and the right to archive the work. The magazine's curatorial vision centers on amplifying voices that are often underrepresented in traditional literary and comics spaces. By integrating graphic literature into its pages, Solstice seeks to foster a dialogue between visual and textual storytelling, inviting creators to submit work that is both personally resonant and formally inventive.
