FASPE 2 — 2027 FASPE Business Application

Overview
FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics) operates at the intersection of professional practice and moral inquiry. Its Business fellowship convenes a cohort of emerging business practitioners for a structured, two-week immersion in Berlin, Krakow, and Oswiecim—the site of the former Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz. The program is not a traditional residency or grant; it is a seminar in applied ethics, designed to interrogate the ethical dimensions of business leadership through historical study and contemporary case analysis. The fellowship is open to those actively pursuing a career in business, whether currently enrolled in an MBA or related graduate program, or working as a business professional with an undergraduate degree. Candidates are expected to be in the early stages of their careers, with total professional experience generally not exceeding ten years. FASPE seeks diverse interests and backgrounds, including those in any business sector, non-profits, start-ups, consulting, finance, and other settings. There is no application fee. The curatorial vision is one of rigorous, place-based learning. By engaging with the histories of the Holocaust and their implications for professional responsibility, the fellowship aims to cultivate a reflective, ethically grounded approach to business decision-making. Fellows are chosen not merely for their professional trajectory but for their capacity to contribute to and benefit from an intensive, interdisciplinary dialogue on ethics and leadership.
