Ainaz Alipour

Ainaz Alipour is an interdisciplinary artist born in 1989 in Iran whose work combines Iranian cultural imagery, embroidery, and sewing crafts from northern Khorasan with soft sculpture, video, and virtual reality. Her practice focuses on the representation of bodies, particularly Iranian women, and on challenging misrepresentations in Western media. She completed residencies at Surel's Place in Idaho and ARTS Southeast in Savannah, Georgia, in 2025.
