Bean Gilsdorf

Bean Gilsdorf is a multidisciplinary artist and writer whose studio work uses historical photographs to make allegorical textile sculptures, collages, and photographs about gender and power. She has written exhibition reviews and essays since 2008 for outlets including Artforum, Art in America, BOMB, and Frieze. Her Full Bleed contributions include an essay on Tannaz Farsi, a studio visit with Ellen Lesperance, and a feature on her series 'Some Women'.
