Brian Jerrold Koester

Brian Jerrold Koester is a poet with a Pushcart Prize nomination and a Best of the Net Anthology nomination. His work has appeared in journals including Agni and Louisiana Literature. He has also worked as a freelance cellist. His 2026 collection Why the Trumpet Is Blue, from Silver Bow Publishing, explores trauma, memory and survival, and has been reviewed in The Madrid Review and Triggerfish Critical Review. His earlier collection What Keeps Me Awake was also published by Silver Bow Publishing.
