D. Nurkse

D. Nurkse is a poet with twelve collections, the most recent being A Country of Strangers (Knopf, 2022). Hanging Loose Press published his first book, Shadow Wars, in 1988. He served as Brooklyn's poet laureate from 1996 to 2001. He teaches in the writing faculty at Sarah Lawrence College.
