Jami Tillis

Jami Tillis is a Chicago poet and fifth- and sixth-grade reading and writing teacher in Chicago Public Schools. She graduated from Northeastern Illinois University in 2012 with a degree concentrating in English and history. Her chapbook In Bold Blackness: Selections (2014) was published by Crisis Chronicles Press, and her work draws on her own life experiences and her daughter.
