Jo Grogan

Jo Grogan is a London-based woodcarver and sculptor, originally from Liverpool, who came to carving after more than 20 years as a fashion designer. She trained in historic woodcarving and gilding at City & Guilds of London Art School, graduating in 2023 with a first-class BA. Her work blends traditional hand carving and gilding with contemporary, nature-inspired forms. She is a resident at the Sarabande Foundation and has won the Grinling Gibbons Tercentenary Emerging Carvers Award and the Wood Award.
