Kasambwe Brothers

The Kasambwe Brothers are a multi-generational Malawian music group from the Ndirande township near Blantyre, playing homemade instruments and traditional rhythms. They have been performing together for nearly forty years, starting with street performances in local markets. In late 2024 they made their first trip outside Malawi for a residency at MASS MoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts, where they recorded their debut album. That self-titled record, released October 24, 2025, launched MASS MoCA Records.
