Matthew Frye Castillo

Matthew Frye Castillo is a writer who teaches writing at Lehman College in New York. His work has appeared in several literary journals and in the anthologies Best Gay Stories 2017 and Worn in New York. He grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, and his memoir One Headlight draws on that background and his relationship with his late mother. He has contributed to Pine Hills Review, which interviewed him in 2021 and published his nonfiction piece "A Boy's State" in 2022.
