Nelly Rosario

Nelly Rosario is a Dominican-American fiction writer who was born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Brooklyn. Her debut novel, Song of the Water Saints, won a 2002 PEN Open Book Award. She is a recent winner of the Sherwood Anderson Award in Fiction. She writes a column for el diario/La Prensa and teaches creative writing at Texas State University. She is at work on a second novel. She is also part of the desveladas collaborative project, which works across genres and borders.
