Nicholas John Turner

Nicholas John Turner is a Brisbane-based Australian writer. His debut novel, Hang Him When He Is Not There, is a fragmented, metafictional work of linked stories. The novel first appeared in 2016 and was later issued by the UK small press Splice in 2018, which brought it to wider attention. It was longlisted for the Republic of Consciousness Prize for Small Presses in 2019. Reviewers describe the book as disorienting and challenging, with explicit content and shifting narrative voices.
