Nick Carter

Nick Carter is a Philadelphia-based artist who works mainly with dyed fabric, including secondhand garments and factory defect yardage, to make paintings and object-like works. He was born in 1987 and studied at Brown University and later earned an MFA in painting in 2021. Carter received a Harpo Foundation Emerging Artist Fellowship, which supported a month-long residency at the Santa Fe Art Institute in March 2014.
