Oguz Erdur

Oğuz Erdur is a scholar and artist whose work combines anthropology, archaeology, philosophy, and art. His ethnographic research examines how archaeological knowledge is produced in Turkey. He holds a doctorate from Columbia University and has taught at UNC Asheville. His book Stone in Love: Seduction of the Orphan Past, a mix of poems, photographic montages, and prose, was published by Black Mountain Press and launched in March 2016 with an exhibition at UNC Asheville's Blowers Gallery.
