Taiba Akhuetie
Taiba Akhuetie is a British artist of Nigerian descent who uses hair as both material and metaphor. Her sculptural works, made from braids, strands and curls, explore identity, memory and belonging. She is a Sarabande Foundation artist for 2025-26, with a solo show at the foundation in London in May 2026.
