Wen Hui

Wen Hui is a Chinese choreographer and filmmaker. A MASS MoCA event page describes them as having grown up during the Cultural Revolution. In 2025 Wen Hui was an artist-in-residence at MASS MoCA together with New York-based performing artist Eiko Otake. The pair developed a new collaborative work there. Their collaboration began in January 2020, when Eiko Otake visited Beijing, and continued over Zoom after the COVID-19 pandemic cut the visit short. The work is built from video diaries they filmed without a script.
