The press publishes the winners of the Iowa Short Fiction Award, the John Simmons Short Fiction Award, and the Iowa Poetry Prize, along with novels, biographies, memoirs, and books on the literature, history, culture, wildlife, and natural areas of the Midwest. For scholars and students, the press publishes reference and course books in the areas of American studies, American history, literary studies, and theatre studies.

Our typical response time for a preliminary inquiry is about five to six weeks.
