Publishing focus
Wild Ember Press has recently revamped our focus to include historical non-fiction which allows the voice of a past historical figure to speak for her/himself though use of old school journal entries, correspondences and even telegrams! We still accept submissions for poetry and memoir IF it inspires love and social change, while inviting a bit of "esoteric" time travel to its design.
Selected authors
Amalio Madueno, Taos Poetry Circus cofounder / feature poet; Taos, N.M. Ed Little Crow, Lakota former member of the American Indian Movement; Judy Hogan, North Carolina feminist poet

Writers should familiarize themselves with the press's catalog before submitting, as Wild Embers favors work that aligns with its aesthetic of lyrical risk and emotional honesty. Submissions are typically open for themed anthologies and chapbook series; simultaneous submissions are discouraged. Include a brief cover letter that contextualizes your work within the press's mission, and allow up to three months for a response. Patience and attention to guidelines are valued.
Please know we receive many many submissions, so if you do not receive a reply after three months, we can not find a place for you in our traditional catalogue. However, we offer a collection of author services to bridge the digital divides! NOTE: Time travel and historical memoirs (see editorial focus) are currently (2026-27) our passions. Check out our new and upcoming titles (2026-27) at www.wildembers.com , visit random sweet info on www.facebook.com/wildemberspress . And.
