About the residency
Pottery Farm Gallery is an artist-run residency and exhibition space that operates at the intersection of contemporary ceramics and expanded craft practices. Founded as a working pottery studio, it has evolved into a platform that treats clay as a critical medium rather than a traditional craft, hosting artists who push the boundaries of material and process. The residency is designed for practitioners who engage with ceramics as a conceptual and experimental field, often in dialogue with sculpture, installation, and social practice.

Artists should approach the residency with a clear project proposal that demonstrates a critical engagement with clay and its histories. The selection committee favors applications that articulate how the residency would advance a specific body of work, rather than general interest in ceramics. Include documentation of recent work that shows material experimentation and conceptual rigor. It is advisable to visit the gallery's website for current application cycles and to reach out with specific questions about facilities and expectations.
