Thanks to our alliance with the Petrolio Network, our distinctive program offers 10-day residencies that are eligible to academic tutoring, finantial aid, and the anual Petrolio Award. Shorter or longer periods may be negotiated. We also offer priority short-term housing for scholars on sabbatical leave. La Casa Del Herrero is not productivity-driven. A thoughtful presentation of a work in progress, a unique idea or a well-documented project that feels true to your creative personality mean a lot more to our jury than an impressive curriculum or previous collaborations with big names. All meals and accommodation in private room with double bed are included in the fee (€35/day). Workplace options are available. Payment is required to confirm your reservation. Medical and other insurance, as well as transportation and materials, are the artist’s responsibility.
La chambre d’eau is an association established in Le Favril in the Hauts-de-France region since 2001, that hosts multidisciplinary artistic residencies. It supports research, creation, production and contemporary writings distribution. La Chambre d'eau has determined four categories of artistic residencies, each answering different stakes. Lab residencies: They consist of giving time to artists or theater companies to write a project, or to allow them to see a reflection on their artistic issues through. Invited artists are autonomous and have spaces at the Moulin des Tricoteries at their disposal for free and for a week. This is an ideal place for concentration, research and experimentation. At the end of their residency, artists have the opportunity, if they are willing to, to do a public presentation of their work step. Terms and conditions There are two of these residencies a year and they last around one week. The transportation and accommodation package is taken care of by the association and the public representation, if it takes place, is paid. Open workshop residencies: These are research and experimentation residencies, particularly opened on issues that concern the Avesnois territory. Regular meetings with La chambre d’eau team are offered as part of a work and implementation process that combines practical experimentation and critical evaluation, in order to support the best the construction of projects linked to territorial problematics, places and partners. Each resident has the possibility to regularly open the workshop to share the ongoing work and his approach with public. They can also plan meetings or artistic gestures within the frame of the association's artistic programme. There are two of these residencies a year and they last around three weeks that can be separated during the year. Transportation and accommodation are taken care of by the association alongside participation in the production cost of 1,500 euros and the provision of workspaces (on the site or elsewhere depending on needs). Production residencies: are developed over a longer time and necessarily lead to the production of one or several artworks. These residencies can arise from artists’ requests or from invitations by La chambre d’eau. They are conceived and elaborated in close relations between different places and territorial partners. They are formalized around creation times, public meetings, exchange times, both formal and informal, reflection times of construction, analysis and implementation. Residencies are offered in accordance with and linked with the events organized by La chambre d’eau. These key moments allow to give a real visibility and distribution of the artworks. There are three production residencies a year and they last around three weeks and can be divided and spread over a certain period of the year. A transportation and accommodation package is taken care of by the association. A residency grant of 2,000 euros and participation to the production costs is also allocated (it can vary according to the needs of the project). Research residencies between artists and art/human sciences researchers : As new experimentations, these residencies aim at creating exchanges between research and artistic practices. These residences allow defining a common research field between multidisciplinary artists and researchers in art and human sciences to think back production and reflection conventional approaches. The goal is to initiate collaborations aiming to discuss and produce, in a rural context, new methods and discourses. There is one research residency a year lasting around four weeks (divisible). Transportation and accommodation are taken care of by the association alongside a residency grant of 2,000 euros and the provision of workspaces during three weeks.

An Immersive Experience in Provence & Luberon La Maison de Beaumont’s residency aims to provide its residents with a holistic experience, allowing them to fully disconnect from their usual point of reference and immerse themselves into the Provençal lifestyle, the essence of which is beauty, simplicity, quality and tranquility. The Luberon region is a special part of Provence which has been so well preserved that it feels like one has travelled back in time. The village of Beaumont-de-Pertuis itself is a medieval town dating back to the 11th century. The town was built on high grounds, surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields and forested hills, making it an ideal setting for meditative hikes and exploration. Our Former Residents have reported feeling revived and inspired after the residency, which brought clarity and focus into their artistic work as well as their personal lives.
The organisation is artist-run, with a objective to nurture self-directed individual practice in an inspiring and supportive environment, where residents can find their own balance between creative practice, rest, social activities and exploring the fabulous area. The residency is currently open during the months of April, May, June and September, October, November. LMK offers guests spacious, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, dedicated studios, music room, cosy lounge and dining room, a green courtyard and rooftop terrace. La Métive is a place of residence for multidisciplinary artistic creation located in Moutier-d'Ahun, in Creuse, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. All year round, it welcomes artists and people from all over the world in spaces conducive to the development of their ongoing research. La Métive is a project of social ties and cultural action in the rural territory where it is located. Coming to La Métive means taking your time. Take the time to meet a place, a team, other artists, authors, and researchers, take the time to meet travelers, children, take the time to meet landscapes. It's also about taking time for yourself to do research. This is why they now prefer to welcome people over research carried out by 1 or 2 people. To seek at the Métive is to engage in a process of experimentation, without obligation of result or demonstration and without the imperative of production. Intuitions are as important as projects. Uncertainty has its place in the Métive, there is not necessarily a failure in a search. What the residency provides: Time: a search is above all a long process, with back-and-forth breaks. It is a process that develops over time. There is no pre-established duration, we will establish together the time and format of your visit. Support: Supporting artists means committing to their side, and reflecting with them. The entire Métive team is involved in this process. A playwright regularly intervenes at the beginning and end of each residency period for personalized support of the artistic work and a college of correspondents made up of professionals and artists from different disciplinary fields may be called upon according to needs.
The general idea is to make visible different artistic disciplines and interact with the visitors in an eminently rural environment, full of esthetic beauty in a singular location, and having as a result an inspiring and creative space to develop the senses for all who, actively or passively, participate in the project. Depending on the necessities of each artist, the organizers bridge the gap between the artists, researchers and the different associations of the village. Description of the residency programme: “La Pedrada” has been thought as a link element between the local people, the ateliers located in Agüimes and the artists residents in “La Pedrada”, being enriched with the knowledge and ideas that they all provide and, therefore, looking for the local raise of personal and cultural development. It aims to be a medium to connect traditional artistic currents and vanguards that develop outside the islands too. In an old house, now rehabilitated, and framed in a rural environment rich in cultural activities and with affined people, “La Pedrada”was created as a space to think, create, coexist and rest around art and its cultural possibilities in an adapted, peaceful, free and open surrounding.
Since its conception, La SOURCE Center for Research & Creation has been built upon a compatible model related to the study of Love. The residency examines love through 4 layers : inner-connective (love within self) inter-connective (love between self and other) eco-connective (love for the environment) and omni-connective (love amidst & throughout all that is). These layers echo out, from a seed to an all-encompassing inclusion. Trying to observe simply one, rather than the relationship between them, will only provide a fragment of a portrait. Only a quick, partial glimpse of Love. Only through systemic integration can the most profound practices (and thereby, with hope, the most inspired sources of understanding and invitation) emerge. We are inviting all four of these aspects into the process of research (hereby named, “Integrative Inquiry”), so that creation can spring forth from their alignment (“Emergent Creation”). The TEMENOS art fellowship is dedicated to providing a space in which Integrative Inquiry and Emergent Creation become methods of living, learning and making. Through these methods, Temenos fellows live in an immersive engagement of radical creative practice. Yes, radical. Not in the rebellious-reactive way. But truly radical. From the root. All the way into the branch. The TEMENOS art fellowship is a live/work creation-lab for artists with active practices (emergent or established) in any contemporary art form, dedicated to integrative inquiry. (In addition to creative practices, we ask fellows to arrive with integrative practices. This might include contemplative, meditative, centering, embodiment, or spiritual practices of any kind.) 5 coordinators + 5 fellows. 5 days a week of deep, rigorous care of our own & one another’s vision/practice. Temenos fellows live in an intensive, immersive, collective engagement of radical creative practice within a participatory frame ². There are no program fees (only room & board, and a small administrative fee). 1 - 3 sessions of 11 weeks (fall, spring & summer), each culminating in an exhibition/ conference, followed by a publication at the end of each year. Fellows completing 3 sessions will be awarded a Post-Graduate Practice-Led Research Diploma in Radical Creative Practice.
The effective average duration of the residency is a minimum of 10 weeks, to be spread over a period of 3 months. First residency: September - November 2023 Second residency: March-May 2024 Third residency: June - August 2024 (indicative dates, adjustments are possible) A vehicle is mandatory, as Lindre-Basse is relatively isolated and few public transport options connect the village to cities such as Metz or Nancy. The residency is located 30 minutes by car from Delme and requires a minimum of daily autonomy from the artists, since the art center's team works geographically on a site other than that of the residency. Oral proficiency in French is also necessary. The residency does not lead to an exhibition at the art center but to a scheduled open studio at the end of the residency.

laberinto projects is an arts, education and cultural legacy preservation platform that fosters contemporary art practices, social inclusion and dialogue in El Salvador and its diaspora. laberinto projects serves as a catalyst to memory and identity in the construction of individual and collective histories. They provide a framework for cultural studies through an ever-developing conceptual archive that connects past and present, digital and physical and transnational divides. At the core of the archive is the history of galería el laberinto and the country’s most significant collection of art produced during the civil war and post-war period. laberinto projects will actualize over time through a layered and inclusive process that breaks down the hierarchical structures that limit the access, collection and distribution of knowledge. Laberinto projects has two main residencies: master artist workshop and optional residency programs, which bring in master artists from around the world, and the self-directed residencies , which are small, selected groups of creatives who prefer a more unstructured stay. Master artist workshops The master artist residencies are an alternative environment for unconventional explorations and programs that invite artists, scholars, writers and other experts in their fields to give a one-week workshop aimed at both nurturing and stimulating the participants' existing practices. At this time, workshop participants are carefully selected based on the quality of artists' work, the impact this residency will have, and potential synergies with other residents. The workshop lasts one week; however, all participants are invited to live and work for the entire month, though it is not mandatory. Laberinto Institute provides opportunities for established and emerging artists alike. They run each program with 6-8 residents. The residency fee includes shared housing at its unique site overlooking Lake Coatepeque, and daily lunches. Artists of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for admission. They welcome collaborative applicants-- if you are applying as a group you may submit one application. A working knowledge of English or Spanish is helpful. Self-directed residency The self-directed residencies usher a more independent time. This residency is perfect for those who seek more solitude in their days, the time, space and clarity to create, but who also want a supportive and creative group for inspiration and informal critique. These residencies encourage a blend of writers, scholars, poets, musicians, actors, directors, artists and other creatives to come together for individual discovery and communal exchanges. At this time, residency participants are carefully selected based on the quality of artists' work, the impact this residency will have and potential synergies with other residents.
