The Art Pitch residency programme is ideal for an arts practitioner who wants to take time out from their busy life and environment for a short period of quiet reflection and research. Residencies are supported but self-directed. Artists can be as solitary as they wish, although dialogue with other artists can be a valuable part of time spent at the studio and may lead to future collaborative outcomes. Works made during the residency can be exhibited in the project space by arrangement. It is well suited to anyone who enjoys spending time in nature. The Cotswolds landscape is beautiful and filled with ancient standing stones and sites of historic interest. The studio is in the Evenlode Valley and yet is within easy reach of Oxford - fifteen minutes away by train and just over an hour by train to London. Artists can stay on a small campsite beside the studio in a tent that is provided with all facilities. Wooden pods are available and plenty of Airbnb in the local area if preferred.
counterclaim is committed to producing work that counters normative and traditional forms. See their website for more information on each year’s theme.

The expression, Genius Loci, is a constant since the Roman era, used by both architects and poets. The meeting of a geographical location, a historical context and other distinctive elements make a place that "...gives men their existential attachment" according to the architect and historian of architecture, Christian Norbert-Schulz. The Dadaists affirmed at the beginning of the 20th century that "life is more interesting than art" and Robert Fillion, member of the Fluxus movement added that "art is what makes life more interesting than art". CourCommune invites artists to focus on the practice of art as a certain poetic of the ordinary. CourCommune offers residencies from 2 weeks up to 3 months during the months of April through October for visual, print and literary artists in a village 100 kilometers south of Paris. The core of their reflection on the role of art and artists in a rural environment is based on the exploration of spaces, landscapes and the passage of the seasons. Residents have the opportunity to exchange with the inhabitants, as well as interacting with the physical and historical contexts of the surrounding communities. They wish to make CourCommune an environment for retreat, encounters and experiences - a space to create supported by a space in which to live in the French countryside. The 120 square meter studio, equipped with a printing press and the living quarters with 3 private bedrooms are shared with a maximum of 2 other artists.

CRAC Valparaiso is a collaborative non-profit platform that focuses on different socio-artistic productions over the city of Valparaiso, Chile. CRAC is an independent project with a flexible and autonomous management model that has been self-sustained since 2007. It is a centre for residencies aimed to artists and researchers. The residents are open to experiment with temporary actions that will directly involve the local community such as talks, workshops, performances, seminars and so on. The artistic residencies to be developed at CRAC are understood as city practices and methods of public presentations and workshops that feed and activate our archive which is based on cultural exchange of knowledge. Beside the residency program, they offer access to a public community archive with a printed publication and a digital publisher. Their approach is to rethink from a Latin American city what public art means in relation to other cities. They have worked with a number of different platforms, groups, artists and researches that encourage decentralised collaborative practice.
