samfiftyfour is an independent curatorial platform and online gallery that emerged from the need for a more fluid, non-institutional approach to exhibiting contemporary art. Founded with an ethos of accessibility and experimentation, it operates as a nomadic entity, staging exhibitions in temporary spaces and digital formats. Its core mission is to support emerging and mid-career artists who work across media, with a particular interest in process-driven and conceptually rigorous practices. By maintaining a flexible structure, samfiftyfour fosters dialogues that are often sidelined by commercial or academic constraints.

Editorial focus

samfiftyfour is devoted to building a literary community by sharing voices from around the globe. To date, twenty-seven different countries, including writers from all walks of life writing on various topics, have been represented.

Artists should approach samfiftyfour with a clear articulation of their conceptual concerns and material processes. The platform favors work that demonstrates a sustained inquiry rather than a single polished object. When submitting, include a concise artist statement, documentation of recent work, and a brief note on how your practice aligns with the platform's experimental ethos. Avoid generic portfolios; instead, highlight specific projects that reveal your working method and critical engagement.
