The WOC Online Residency Program helps the international artist community to stay connected and be creative. The program is designed for artists at any stage of their career to link with international creatives from different corners of the planet and to expand their practice through feedback and mutual support. The participants are able to work on specific projects, to improve their portfolios, and move on when you feel stuck and need help. Through active dialogue, exchanging ideas, and critical thinking, the program builds a strong sense of community and artistic collaboration among its participants which lasts after the program ends. In a friendly and supportive atmosphere, WOC helps artists to continue growing, experimenting, and improving themselves as artists. WOC Online Artist Residency is hosted by the independent art organization World of Co. Since 2017, World of Co has organized artist residency programs in Sofia, Bulgaria, introducing Bulgarian art and culture to the international artist community, and also presenting foreign artists to the local scene. The mission of World of Co-Artist Residency is to create a platform for exploration and experiments for artists, to build bridges between international artists, and to support their art practice. The program includes: – Regular meetings and activities throughout the month. Approximately three sessions per week. – Weekly live group meetings with fellow artists, focused on your work – discussion and exchange, helping you to conceptualize your art projects moderated by the WOC team. – Building an effective online presence as an artist. Individual advice on your website and social media channels moderated by professional web and graphic designer – Internal meetups and discussions with previous WOC artists – Participate in an online group exhibition. Exhibit your project in our online gallery at the end of the residency program – Presenting you on the World of Co website and social media channels Instagram and Facebook – Become part of our international artists’ network, consisting of more than 280 artists across the globe – Receive an official certificate of participation Expectations from the artist: – Participatory and respectful attitude towards all participants and the WOC team – Willingness to learn, to experiment and to show work in progress or drafts in sessions – Attend residency sessions or inform us if you are not able – Time and space for reflection – Good internet connection You can apply for one-month, two-month or three-month residency programs. To get the full experience of the program, they suggest you participate for more than one month. Each residency program starts on the 5th of the month and ends on the 30th. All activities will take place on ZOOM. Before the start of the program, the World of Co team will send you a monthly schedule with all activities and connections. Each schedule is created taking into account the different time zones of the participants and, at other times, the timing is suitable for everyone. The online program is open to emerging and mid-career visual artists, multidisciplinary artists, mixed media artists, painters, textile artists, illustrators, designers, writers, sound artists, curators and art researchers from around the world.
The Wrangell Mountains Center (WMC) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is connecting people with wildlands through art, science, and education in the Wrangell Mountains. The Wrangell Mountains Residency Program aims to support artists of all genres, writers, and inquiring minds. Our organization and community will provide a unique and rustic workspace located in heart of the nation’s largest national park. We invite applicants with creative and inquisitive minds who will both add to and benefit from the interdisciplinary efforts at our community hub in McCarthy, Alaska and the surrounding Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve. Artists and writers of all genres and stages in their careers are encouraged to apply for 1 of several 2-week residencies. The WMC will make selections through a competitive admissions process. We hope to encourage emerging and mid-level career voices as well as mature professionals. Selected artists will receive room and board for their entire stay in exchange for community outreach or the donation of artwork as a result of the residency. During the residency, the artist will be asked to share their experience with the public by demonstration, talk, or other means. The presentation will depend on the artist’s medium, interests, and experience. This exchange component will be outlined before resident arrival but may be revised on-site. The WMC will assist with arranging transportation (within Alaska) if needed.

Young Yan Artists Residence Program encourages and supports potential young artists to find inspiration and create artworks during the 2-month residence in Yan Garden, Dongguan, with all the necessary living space, work studio and facilities provided, along with a RMB 20,000 funding.

Yaqoot residency is a non-profit and non-political organization and holds ten rounds of residency programs every year. Artists will work in studios and workshop spaces at the Negarestan Art Centre, located in Qazvin, Iran. A really stimulating and flexible environment will be provided for artists from all around the world to have new experiences and create new works. This event is also an extraordinary chance for those group of artists who are looking for growing in recognition and selling of their most recent art works, which is of course, beside the advantage of studying on Persian art and culture, a unique opportunity to introduce themselves to the art world in international levels. The residency is all the time looking for artists from all around the world to participate in the upcoming rounds of their international artists in residency programs. They accept applications anytime of the year. As you can see in the shots provided, the residency will be in "Negarestan Art Centre", "Yaqoot Residency", and also "Bazaar Cistern". Negarestan Art Centre is the name given to the location which is converted to an opportunity for all resident artists whose works are rarely exhibited. Wanting to display their works, the organizers will prepare an exhibition in this gallery. Themes and Principles: Art exhibitions, visual arts, calligraphy works (classic and modern), statue works, painting, music, architecture, movies, photography, and theater, art training sessions (Islamic architecture & literature), conceptual and visual Arts, intercultural art exchanges, sculpture, open studios, tours; exploring historical, natural, and art sites, workshops and conferences are welcomed.
Yasmine Laraqui Studio is an independent creative space based in Casablanca, Morocco, dedicated to visual production, artistic research, and cultural programming. Founded by artist and writer Yasmine Laraqui, the studio functions both as a production space and a platform for experimentation at the intersection of contemporary art, visual media, and emerging cultural practices. The studio develops projects that include photography and video production, curatorial initiatives, exhibitions, and an international artist residency program. Through these activities, the studio aims to support dialogue between local and international artistic communities while encouraging research-driven artistic practices. Located in Casablanca, one of North Africa’s largest and most dynamic cities, the residency invites artists to engage with the cultural, social, and urban environment of the region while developing new work or research. Yasmine Laraqui Studio seeks to provide artists with a supportive environment for experimentation, reflection, and exchange, while contributing to the development of independent cultural initiatives in the city. The Yasmine Laraqui Studio Residency offers artists the opportunity to live and work in Casablanca while developing new ideas and artistic projects in an independent creative environment. The residency is designed as a period of research, experimentation, and cultural immersion. Artists are encouraged to explore the city, engage with its artistic and urban landscape, and use their time to develop new work, research, or conceptual investigations. The program is open to artists working across disciplines, including visual arts, photography, installation, multimedia practices, and research-based approaches. Residents are provided with accommodation and access to a working space. At the end of the residency, artists have the opportunity to present their work, research, or artistic process through an exhibition or public presentation organized by the studio. The residency particularly welcomes artists interested in engaging with contemporary cultural dynamics, urban environments, and evolving relationships between art, technology, and society. Through exhibitions and informal exchanges, the residency aims to foster dialogue between international artists and the local creative community in Casablanca.
YermilovCentre is a centre of contemporary art in Kharkiv, opened in March 2012. It is named after a famous Kharkiv artist, representative of the Ukrainian avant-garde, Vasyl Yermilov. The largest exhibition space in Kharkiv, YermilovCentre represents contemporary Ukrainian art processes. Our priorities are artistic dialogue with the viewer and international cooperation. Activities of the YermilovCentre include curatorial projects, artistic residences, lectures and discussions, performances, seminars, cinema, and video shows. Multidisciplinary art residency, where the cultural and artistic components are intertwined with seeking solutions to social issues and preservation of cultural and historical heritage. Artists work outside their usual environment, explore cultural and historical contexts, reflect, experiment with materials. We create a comfortable place for creativity and give artists the opportunity to interact with the local community. The residency should revitalize the countryside, promote decentralization and give the area a new cultural significance. The project includes such activities: excursions, art workshops for children and teenagers, an exhibition in the village house of culture or in the public space of the village. Art Kuzemyn Carrying out a residency in the village of Kuzemyn in the Sumy region means for the YermilovCentre: New experience in organizing a program of residencies outside Kharkiv. Intervention of art practices into a non-artistic social environment. Research of this intervention. Expanding the audience interested in contemporary art through interaction with the local community, children, organizers of cultural events in the local house of culture. And the opportunity to show the village community how contemporary art and cultural initiatives can change you and the world around you, how they can affect your thoughts and your village. Exploring a new format and deepening the skills of working with multidisciplinary projects. Important note: Starting from 2020, the residency focuses exclusively on the city of Kharkiv and its art. The time and circumstances are such that they have to solve only specific and urgent tasks to preserve and strengthen the cultural field.
