Orkney Arts Residency is located at Linkshouse, a large, detached property which is located in the rural parish of Birsay, on the Northwest coast of Mainland Orkney. Managed by the Pier Arts Centre, Linkshouse has recently been refurbished to a high standard. The Pier Arts Centre in Stromness, Orkney was established in 1979 to provide a home for an important collection of British fine art donated by the author, peace activist and philanthropist Margaret Gardiner (1904 – 2005). The Centre also curates a year-round programme of changing exhibitions and events for the education and enjoyment of the general public. The Pier Arts Centre acts as a focal point for the local artistic community. It has a valuable library and archive which is accessible to the public and runs a programme of education and outreach activities for groups of all ages.

Pike School of Art – Mississippi (PSA-MS) is a space for interdisciplinary creative experimentation where artists and writers with diverse backgrounds and proficiencies come together and interact in a rural setting in America’s Deep South. PSA-MS offers residencies, workshops, talks, and space for art-making and discursive research. Activities take place in and near the city of McComb and the town of Summit in Pike County, Mississippi. PSA-MS encourages artwork and curatorial or writing projects that create articulations about the Deep South, including Mississippi’s and Louisiana’s histories of conflict and adjustment between Old and New World societies and Europeans’ early relationship with the indigenous populations. Projects about the ongoing African-American struggle to achieve full participation in American society are especially welcome. Activities are based in the residency facilities with excursions to regional cultural centers that may include Jackson, the state capital (Mississippi Museum of Art, the Mississippi Governor’s Mansion, the Old Capitol Museum, the Mississippi Department of Archives and History’s campus, the International Museum of Muslim Cultures), Biloxi (Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art campus, designed by Frank Gehry, and Beauvoir, Jefferson Davis’ home and presidential library), and Natchez (Grand Village of the Natchez Indians and theNatchez Trace Parkway). Two-week residencies include two days in New Orleans with visits to Prospect New Orleans (when in session), the Contemporary Arts Center, the McKenna Museum of African American Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and the Louisiana State Museum, including the Cabildo and the Presbytère. A side trip to Baton Rouge includes a visit to theCapitol Park Museum, designed by New Orleans-based studio Eskew+Dumez+Ripple and completed in 2006.
Pilchuck Glass School fosters and educates a worldwide community that explores the creative use of glass in art and design. The serene campus in Stanwood, Washington, is nestled in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains amidst a working tree farm an hour north of Seattle. From May through October every year, Pilchuck's Summer + Fall Program offers a series of courses as well as residencies for emerging and established artists in all media. Three of these residency programs are open to yearly applications: – The Emerging Artist in Residence Program for promising artists with experience in glass – The collaborative John H. Located in the pleasant town called Hidaka Town, which is two-hours away from Sapporo by car, and where those beautiful horses are well-taken care of with abundance of its surrounding nature, our first experimental artist residency program will be taken place by welcoming those curious artists who are willing to share your thoughts for how we could potentially build up our unique creative hub of the artist residency in a pro-long and diverse manner from now onwards. There is a potential building site as a permanent-based art residency in a city called “Chitose City” which is only 45 minutes away from Sapporo, and where the main international airport is located, unexpectedly in the middle of nowhere as literally surrounded by forest with wild animals and birds. However, since this potential building site in Chitose City is still under the initial stage of its renovation, we are setting our residency program this year in our temporary creative lodges located in a town called Hidaka Town, which is two hours away from Sapporo by car. As the PIN AIR experimental artist residency program 2024, they will be holding an artist residency program co-sponsored with the summer camp of the North Peak International School in Niseko, in the form of the refurbished student dormitory adjacent to the former stable facilities as our experimental creative studios in Hidaka Town for this year.
