Studio Pavilion at House for an Art Lover is a unique cultural space located in Bellahouston Park supporting the arts through exhibitions, residencies, commissions and classes. Surrounding the Studio Pavilion there is a variety of flexible spaces suitable as both studio and workspaces as well as alternative exhibition spaces. Sited within the courtyard of the Studio Pavilion are a number of shed spaces that provide varying opportunities to artists and creative practitioners. The spaces lend themselves to being used for a variety of means be it as a workshop or fabrication space; as an artist’s studio or to film; an exhibition space or space in which to host events, performances or screenings; or simply to experiment and try out new ideas with our aim being to provide space to focus on creative output, engagement, diversity, research, or a combination of all of the above. House Work Presents is an artist-run gallery and residency based in Hackney, East London. They offer artists time and space for experimentation, dialogue, and artistic development. The organisers established the residency with the aim of offering artists the best possible experience for their practice and development. Their collective interests are wide-ranging, encompassing contemporary practice, art education, the ethics of participation, the formation of DIY culture, and the domestic space as a site of cultural production. The domestic project space fosters community and relational approaches, encouraging artists to explore process, collaboration, and new perspectives. The residency culminates in a solo exhibition or presentation providing a platform to showcase work and engage with the London creative scene. House Work Presents The Residency 2026 is an artist‑run programme in Hackney, East London, dedicated to supporting early‑career artists with time, space, and structured support for creative development. They offer a month‑long residency that fosters experimentation, dialogue, and community engagement within a collaborative, process‑led environment. Located within a vibrant creative neighbourhood, the programme encourages artists to expand their practice and connect with the city’s art networks and spaces. Participating artists also have the opportunity to present a solo exhibition at the end of the residency, helping them to engage with London’s wider cultural scene.
