INVE Experimental Arts Platform is a multidisciplinary organization founded in Valparaíso, Chile, emerging from a vibrant community of Chilean and Latin American artists and researchers. With 11 years of trajectory, INVE cultivates a distinctive approach to contemporary arts, centered on collective experimentation, process-based creation, collaborative research, and innovative production methods—while equally prioritizing the exhibition, distribution of artworks, and audience mediation to connect processes with diverse publics. INVE’s curatorial vision fosters dialogue between artistic practices, critical reflection, and new forms of presentation, supporting artists from performing, visual, and audiovisual fields through residencies, seminars, talks, screenings, exhibitions, public performances, and distribution opportunities. Key programs include the international experimental video festival Proceso de Error, the Aberrante video and film cycle, the Cuerpo y Territorio performance laboratory, the Experimento INVE video creation residency (with 8 years of experimental cinema residencies in rural spaces), Ve en la Ola boat-based screenings, and Vórtice experimental video training lab. Since 2022, INVE has expanded its activities to Spain, strengthening its international outreach and building bridges between Latin American and European artistic communities through transnational exchanges and shared practices. Residency BASE - Before Form - Practice as a space for research and self-care Two editions in 2026: July 14–18 and September 9–13 in Valencia, Spain. BASE offers artists, curators, and researchers a shared territory of encounter — a pause to reconnect with the nature of their own practice. Here, the intimate and the collective intertwine, opening a space where each process can resonate in its own singular way. In this edition, practisioners are invited to a five-day retreat in a countryside house surrounded by nature, just outside Valencia, Spain. Through a series of practices designed to activate and support your creative process, the organisers will share: — Site-specific walks and drifts — Body-based activations — Observation practices — Writing sessions — Reflective spaces rooted in your own technique — One-on-one mentoring A program designed to help you reconnect with the core of your artistic methodology, within a carefully held environment and a horizontal approach to learning. At BASE, you step into your own time — a space to momentarily step outside linear dynamics, to ground your practice and observe it from a renewed perspective. A place to recognize coherence between life and work, as a creative being in constant transformation, expansive and free. The organisers understand this residency as: — A process-based laboratory of exploration — A space to move through questions with openness and safety — A community grounded in listening, generosity, and care — A parenthesis within the accelerated and hierarchical rhythms of society A place where: — The body is approached as an archive — Memory becomes material — Practice unfolds as a field in transformation At BASE, a state of sensitive exploration is activated. Throughout the residency, each participant will be able to: — Engage in dialogue with their practice from a broader perspective — Identify creative blocks and open new possibilities — Expand their creative language — Discover new ways of relating to their process — Situate their work within their context of interest Creating is also a way of imagining other ways of being in the world. And doing it together is a way of sustaining them.

IOU is a UK-based arts organisation with a 50-year history of creating experimental, interdisciplinary work that blends performance, visual art, engineering, and technology. Based at Dean Clough Mills, Halifax, the IOU Creation Centre supports artists to take creative risks and collaborate across disciplines, developing new work that connects communities, landscapes, and ideas. IOU’s long-term vision is to establish Calderdale as a vibrant hub for experimental art and rural innovation, linking local creativity to a global stage. IOU has created a rolling 6 month opportunity for artists to live, work and develop their creative practice at the IOU Creation Centre Hostel, Hebden Bridge. The Artist in Residency opportunity is open to artists specialising in any art form interested in IOU’s approach. The residency includes living rent and bill free in a self contained artist apartment to develop their practice and create an art project in response to time spent living at the Hostel. During their residency artists have the opportunity to lead a workshop at the Hostel or the IOU studio and to hold a final exhibition of their work
