The general idea is to make visible different artistic disciplines and interact with the visitors in an eminently rural environment, full of esthetic beauty in a singular location, and having as a result an inspiring and creative space to develop the senses for all who, actively or passively, participate in the project. Depending on the necessities of each artist, the organizers bridge the gap between the artists, researchers and the different associations of the village. Description of the residency programme: “La Pedrada” has been thought as a link element between the local people, the ateliers located in Agüimes and the artists residents in “La Pedrada”, being enriched with the knowledge and ideas that they all provide and, therefore, looking for the local raise of personal and cultural development. It aims to be a medium to connect traditional artistic currents and vanguards that develop outside the islands too. In an old house, now rehabilitated, and framed in a rural environment rich in cultural activities and with affined people, “La Pedrada”was created as a space to think, create, coexist and rest around art and its cultural possibilities in an adapted, peaceful, free and open surrounding.

Since its conception, La SOURCE Center for Research & Creation has been built upon a compatible model related to the study of Love. The residency examines love through 4 layers : inner-connective (love within self) inter-connective (love between self and other) eco-connective (love for the environment) and omni-connective (love amidst & throughout all that is). These layers echo out, from a seed to an all-encompassing inclusion. Trying to observe simply one, rather than the relationship between them, will only provide a fragment of a portrait. Only a quick, partial glimpse of Love. Only through systemic integration can the most profound practices (and thereby, with hope, the most inspired sources of understanding and invitation) emerge. We are inviting all four of these aspects into the process of research (hereby named, “Integrative Inquiry”), so that creation can spring forth from their alignment (“Emergent Creation”). The TEMENOS art fellowship is dedicated to providing a space in which Integrative Inquiry and Emergent Creation become methods of living, learning and making. Through these methods, Temenos fellows live in an immersive engagement of radical creative practice. Yes, radical. Not in the rebellious-reactive way. But truly radical. From the root. All the way into the branch. The TEMENOS art fellowship is a live/work creation-lab for artists with active practices (emergent or established) in any contemporary art form, dedicated to integrative inquiry. (In addition to creative practices, we ask fellows to arrive with integrative practices. This might include contemplative, meditative, centering, embodiment, or spiritual practices of any kind.) 5 coordinators + 5 fellows. 5 days a week of deep, rigorous care of our own & one another’s vision/practice. Temenos fellows live in an intensive, immersive, collective engagement of radical creative practice within a participatory frame ². There are no program fees (only room & board, and a small administrative fee). 1 - 3 sessions of 11 weeks (fall, spring & summer), each culminating in an exhibition/ conference, followed by a publication at the end of each year. Fellows completing 3 sessions will be awarded a Post-Graduate Practice-Led Research Diploma in Radical Creative Practice.
The effective average duration of the residency is a minimum of 10 weeks, to be spread over a period of 3 months. First residency: September - November 2023 Second residency: March-May 2024 Third residency: June - August 2024 (indicative dates, adjustments are possible) A vehicle is mandatory, as Lindre-Basse is relatively isolated and few public transport options connect the village to cities such as Metz or Nancy. The residency is located 30 minutes by car from Delme and requires a minimum of daily autonomy from the artists, since the art center's team works geographically on a site other than that of the residency. Oral proficiency in French is also necessary. The residency does not lead to an exhibition at the art center but to a scheduled open studio at the end of the residency.

laberinto projects is an arts, education and cultural legacy preservation platform that fosters contemporary art practices, social inclusion and dialogue in El Salvador and its diaspora. laberinto projects serves as a catalyst to memory and identity in the construction of individual and collective histories. They provide a framework for cultural studies through an ever-developing conceptual archive that connects past and present, digital and physical and transnational divides. At the core of the archive is the history of galería el laberinto and the country’s most significant collection of art produced during the civil war and post-war period. laberinto projects will actualize over time through a layered and inclusive process that breaks down the hierarchical structures that limit the access, collection and distribution of knowledge. Laberinto projects has two main residencies: master artist workshop and optional residency programs, which bring in master artists from around the world, and the self-directed residencies , which are small, selected groups of creatives who prefer a more unstructured stay. Master artist workshops The master artist residencies are an alternative environment for unconventional explorations and programs that invite artists, scholars, writers and other experts in their fields to give a one-week workshop aimed at both nurturing and stimulating the participants' existing practices. At this time, workshop participants are carefully selected based on the quality of artists' work, the impact this residency will have, and potential synergies with other residents. The workshop lasts one week; however, all participants are invited to live and work for the entire month, though it is not mandatory. Laberinto Institute provides opportunities for established and emerging artists alike. They run each program with 6-8 residents. The residency fee includes shared housing at its unique site overlooking Lake Coatepeque, and daily lunches. Artists of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply for admission. They welcome collaborative applicants-- if you are applying as a group you may submit one application. A working knowledge of English or Spanish is helpful. Self-directed residency The self-directed residencies usher a more independent time. This residency is perfect for those who seek more solitude in their days, the time, space and clarity to create, but who also want a supportive and creative group for inspiration and informal critique. These residencies encourage a blend of writers, scholars, poets, musicians, actors, directors, artists and other creatives to come together for individual discovery and communal exchanges. At this time, residency participants are carefully selected based on the quality of artists' work, the impact this residency will have and potential synergies with other residents.
