FAIR is a residency program, at The Factory for Art & Design, for artists in the Nordic and Baltic regions. The purpose of FAIR is to give an international artist the opportunity to work and realize a smaller project here at The Factory. An event or exhibition is organized during the residence, in collaboration with the curator of the program. In the course of a year, 4 artists are invited here for a duration of 2 months each. WORLD WIDE AIR Residency World Wide Air (WWA) welcomes applications from professional artists and curators worldwide. The program aims to ensure cultural exchange between professional agents on the Danish and international art scenes and a Danish audience. WWA is calling for applications from artists or curators, who wish to research, produce or collaborate with a Danish partner (institution or agent on the Danish art scene). In an effort to strengthen knowledge sharing, applications with an educational and/or public aspect are given priority (i.e. a master class for professional artists/curators, lecture, workshops for youths/schools, exhibition, talk, reading etc.). FABRIKKEN is able to assist with locating audiences and participants for master classes, workshops etc. WWA welcomes artists and curators for a duration of 1-3 months. The artist in residence receives a monthly stipend plus a fixed travel grant, shared accommodation in Copenhagen and a private studio at FABRIKKEN. More info on the website

Farm Art is a small-scale, self-directed artist residency located in the rural village of Bellingwolde, in the north of the Netherlands. Farm Art is a living, working place shaped by care, attention, and shared responsibility. It offers artists time and space for rest, research, experimentation, and reflection, away from urban rhythms and institutional structures. Residencies are self-guided and may be entirely process-based, without the requirement of a final outcome. Farm Art recognizes our reliance and interconnectedness to nature. Artists are invited outside of the urban environment to engage and learn from her. The hope is for the mending of our cognitive dissonance, both collective and individual by fostering connection, care and community. Stays at Farm Art are characterised by the rural setting, immersion into nature and proximity to the German border. Visitors are hosted in small, well equiped huts in the garden. The property is surrounded by industrial farmlands, and contrasting with this is the small-scale food production of the garden. Participants are encouraged to engage with the local (non) human community thus creating a space for trust-building and voluntary interactions. Farm Art hosts one artist at a time.
FARM Studio was founded to realize the creative potential of exchange, dialogue and collaboration between Indian rural artists and artisans and international contemporary artists. Officially established as a non-profit organization in 2009, FARM Studio grew out of the the rural-based Sowing Seeds Art Project. Locally, FARM Studio promotes and celebrates community artistic and cultural identity and supports community-based activities. FARM Studio International Artist Residency’s aim is to provide a rural, community-based open platform where creativity can unfold. Residents stay and create in a unique atmosphere and entirely new environment where they can develop their artwork free from accustomed distractions. Relationships form between the artists coming from different geographical locations and varied social, religious and cultural backgrounds. Here, collaborations and experimentation is encouraged. Many exciting exchanges and dialogues among artists take place. Farm Studio also promotes and celebrates the local community’s artistic and cultural identity while also introducing art and culture of others (Indian and International guests) back to the community. This intercultural exchange broadens everyone’s experiences and fosters art appreciation. Upcoming: 1. Session: 3rd October – 28th October 2023 2. Session: 3rd November – 28th November 2023 3.
